Billing

We outsource our billing and collections to an outside billing company. Please call Professional Accounts Management, Inc. at 714-992-0850 for questions regarding your bill for imaging/procedures. Please have your bill, account number and date of service available when you call. If you have a question about a bill you received from FRMG, please contact our billing office at:

Insurance

FRMG accepts most major health insurance, but we do not need your insurance card. Our billing office will receive your insurance information, which is sent electronically from the hospital or imaging center where you received service. You or your insurance will be billed for FRMG services shortly after we receive this information. The hospital or imaging center provides the technical portion of the radiology service and bills you for that portion only. FRMG provides the professional services related to reading and interpreting the images and separately bills you for those services. In virtually all cases, you will receive two bills for each radiology exam, one from the hospital or imaging center and one from FRMG.

What Is a Radiologist?

Radiologists are physicians who are experts in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging technologies such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI scan, breast MRI, open MRI), nuclear medicine and ultrasound or 3D ultrasound. They also perform procedures such as kyphoplasty, port-a-cath and uterine artery embolization. In addition to medical school training, radiologists have at least five years of additional residency training, followed by additional fellowship training. Radiologists help your doctor provide care to you and your family by interpreting your exam and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using imaging guidance.

What Role Does a Radiologist Play in Your Care?

The radiologists at FRMG act as expert consultants to your referring physician and help him/her choose the proper examination to be performed, interpret your exam and provide recommendations for further studies, if needed, and perform image-guided procedures. The radiologist provides a written report to the referring physician so the results of your exam can be reviewed with you the next time you call or visit your doctor.

How Do You Get a Copy of Your Images or Final Report?

Contact the location/facility where you had your exam. FRMG does not retain medical records (the facility where you had your procedure is required to keep these records for a legally required period of time). The cost for copies of these records, if any, will be determined by the imaging facility, not FRMG.
